On the first Wednesday of Advent the women of the church, along with friends and family from the surrounding community gather for a time of food and fellowship followed by a special service. The Women’s Advent Service is a time for preparing hearts and minds through fellowship and worship for the celebration of God’s gift of Jesus to our world. The service combines music, scripture, and narration to tell the story of Christmas, and closes with a candle lighting ceremony.
